Very interesting but very low resolution on the freebies.  I wonder if it
gets better if you pay.

Hello Everyone,
The Sanborn Insurance Maps are a great source for accurate histrical
railroad information both on a railroad and its customers. For example, one
of the early L'Anse maps had a note for the L'Anse DSS&A rondhouse that
there were employees in the roundhouse only at night, (which would be the
night watchman for the switch engine). The 1992 L'Anse map had a large
paragraph of the sawmill there including its buildings and production
capacity!!! Also, one can zoom in to great detail.
