This wye probably goes back to the very early days. The Monongahlea Valley Republician mentioned that the initial service to Pittsburgh alternated between Donora and Charleroi. Vague recollection that Ed L. provided a date when Donora was changed to a shuttle. Probably simplified operations quite a bit.
