[PRCo] Re: Parkinson slides

PTM is interested, Tom. There is some great stuff here. Our preference, of
course, is original images, but where digitals are indicated, they need to
hi-res files. I scan slides at 4000 ppi and save them in TIFF, for example.
This burns up 50-55 MB per image but there's no loss as with JPEGs, and
corrections are easy, as are reformattings.

Thanks,
Ed

Thanks Fred,
Don't know why you cannot logon to Google -- are you using a Mac?, their
browser is not fully compatible with the rest of the world. Nor is their
Character encoding which accounts for the bizarre characters that occur in
many emails and postings from Macs

Thanks also to George for adding your captions. The Rhea's bakery was
downtown. I'll move the captions under the photos in due course as I did on
the first album. Does anyone have a list of fantrip dates?

I posted the images at the maximum size Google permits which should allow
you to make good prints to 8x10. You are all welcome to download and use the
images for non-commercial purposes. Attribution would be appreciated.
Obviously I reserve copyright.

I have now digitized around 1200 PRCo slides, another 900 to go. I will post
another selection of 100 next month. Then I am thinking of selling the
original Kodachromes on eBay. I'll let list members have the first kick at
the can -- probably $5 each, including postage and handling. The full size
digital images, residual slides and some funds to inventory them go to PTM
in my will unless Ed L. tells me they are not interested..
