One wouldn't think there's a large market for Steeler merchandise in
Cleveland, would one? But never let it be said that Giant Eagle ever left
any potential market unexploited.

Subject: [PRCo] Steeler Stuff In Cleveland
All Cleveland area Giant Eagle stores and Get-Go stations began selling all
types of Steeler stuff today. I frequent the Giant Eagle store at W. 140 &
Detroit. The Steeler display there is 20 feet long x 4 shelves high. I
haven't seen that many "Terrible Towels" since 1978. All manner of sweats,
tees, hoodies, and Jerseys too. This is something not usually seen in
Cleveland stores. I think I will take them a photo of the "Terrible
Trolley".
Not related to anything "Pittsburgh" whatsoever, however nonetheless
interesting, is a news story being shown right now on FOX 8 Cleveland
evening news. A large (60 inch) water main broke on Superior Avenue at East
74 Street today. The pipe carries raw water from Lake Erie to a treatment
plant on East Blvd. Superior Avenue became flooded from East 61 Street all
the way to East 85 Street. Just shown was taped footage of quite of number
of both Yellow and White Perch swimming in the area between East 71 and East
75 in the normal traffic lanes of Superior Avenue. This is the first time
this has been know to happen here. I'm sure a lot of them will end up on
dinner tables tonight.
