You can get more money for the housing if it's on a "shore" instead of a

What's all this "North Shore" business in Pittsburgh?
I always thought rivers, creeks, canals, brooks and all other flowing
waterways had "banks."
And I thought that bodies of water such as ponds, lakes, reservoirs, oceans,
etc. had "shores."
Correct me if I'm wrong.
