I'm told Ellsworth Avenue is currently (well, as of Tuesday night)
scraped down to the rails. Today I have a movie to see, and a P&LE RR
Historical Society meeting, but my hope is tomorrow to swing east of
here and grab some pictures. I'll share what I find.
Last night I had occasion to ride the subway as it provided a
convenient means to get around downtown what with dinner and a trip to
the arena for a concert. The signs and announcements admonish that
weekends from 1:30am Saturday to 4:30am Monday, starting this past
weekend, there's bustitution between Steel Plaza and Gateway Center,
so a crossover can be installed to change ends at Wood St during
Gateway Center Station replacement in the next phase of the North
Shore Connector project. This will be true through November.
