Thank you for your reply. I am glad that you are confirming that you
welcome a diverse audience at the PA Trolley Museum and that you are
offering a discount that is fair to a broader audience.

Regards,

Richard Rockwell

Subject: RE: PTM Discounts for church bulletins

Dear Mr. Rockwell,

Our goal at the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum is to communicate the story of
Pennsylvania's Trolley Era to a diverse audience. Here in the museum office
we work hard to reach out to young and old, local residents and travelers,
rail fans and casual riders. In other words, we want everyone to come here
and experience the wonderful collection of transportation history in our
museum as they learn from our enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.

It is a fact that 56% of the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum's visitors come
during our Special Events. Therefore, we take the opportunity as we market
our special events, to engage audiences that we know will be receptive to
whatever event we are hosting at that time. When we host Anything on Wheels
we reach out to car clubs. When we host Bunny Trolley we reach out to
families with small children. When we host Proud to be a Scout Day we reach
out to scouting groups, of course. The logic was the same when we marketed
our Senior Sunday event to families who attended church together that day as
we hope that this will be a fun and informative afternoon for all. This, by
no means, should indicate that those are the only visitors we want on Senior
Sundays; quite the contrary, of course.

In order to eliminate possible misinterpretation of our intent, we will
extend the $1 off of our Senior Sunday event to anyone who brings a program
or flyer from a meeting of a club or organization of any type for the week
prior to the event. We also offer discounts to AAA members, WDUQ Q Card
Members, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Port Authority of Allegheny County
employees, National Railway Historical Society members, WQED MemberCard
holders, and visitors to Tanger Outlets, a new shopping mall close to the
museum.

Thank you for sharing your concerns and for your past support of our
programs.
