I cannot help but notice that the economists are not openly saying
what I was preaching several months ago ... that it was going to get
a whole lot worse.
These three items from a German on-line news source are interesting.
I love this first one about a swindler who was kidnapped in Germany,
tied up, taken back to France and abandoned by the side of the road
for the police to find.

The second one could be designed to stir up universal hatred
anywhere. Government employees get big wage increase while 16,500
Volkswagen workers get screwed. I wonder if VW put that new
Chattanooga, Tennessee plant on hold???? The most recent stuff I
can find in the Chattanooga papers say they still plan on moving ahead.

The word Geldautomat is the German equivalent for our money access
machines in front of the bank or the convenience store. Political
cartoons are universal. Obviously a pun saying that General Motors
needs one. This was just a day or two before the announcement that
GM would spin off its German / British subsidiary.

And now the rest of the news ....
Paul Harvey, radio newscaster, (1918-2009) died Saturday in Arizona.
