Leaving the wire "at speed" was the usual cause. I severely bent one pole
and broke another in two pieces in the same general area. One incident on
the city side of the Saw Mill Run Blvd bridge and the other on the Castle
Shannon side of the bridge. PATransit seemed to use a really "light weight"
pole in the 1970s/80s. They were prone to bending and breaking.
