I have always maintained that many of us on this list are friends.
So rather than tell everyone separately, I'll let you all know in one
e-mail. I think all you know that my wife and I were separated a
year and a half ago. Anyone who wants details can ask but I don't
think it is necessary to flood the list with that now.
The good news is that we have been back together for the last
month. morning she called her attorney and called the divorced
proceedings. Until I can get time to move the computer back to the
house, I still go to the apartment once a day to pick up snail mail
and read e-mail. If someone needs to get me by telephone, the best
place now is at the house and that phone number is 717 569-1065.
If anyone is looking for me ... look at 111 Delp Road, Lancaster, PA
17601-3905.
I have paid the rent on the apartment until the end of the lease in
September so I have a few months to clean out this dump.
In the meantime there are some health complications. The
cardiologist tried three weeks ago to insert a stent into one of my
coronary arteries but by the time we was able to do it, the artery in
question had become so occluded that the procedure was analogues to
trying to insert a basketball into a garden hose. It just could not
be done. Day after tomorrow I have an appointment with a surgeon to
discuss my second round of coronary artery bypass surgery! Been
through that before about 1996. That's fun. You come out of it
feeling like they over you with a Peterbilt and then backed a train
over you to make sure they killed you before tried to wake you up
again. (But it sure as hell beats what's in second place and if I
ever want to get to Beijing to try a scorpion for dinner, I guess I
have to go along with the program.) And once that is done, then we
can worry about the pinched sciatic nerve.
