It was a Brill-patented design, perhaps in honor of an order from a Rhode
Island operator?  Or because the breeze felt like it was coming in off the
bay?  Sounds like some research in ERJ is in order!

Why were some open cars referred to as Narragansett Cars?  I just passed
Narragansett, RI and the bay with the same name on a trip to Cape Cod.  
I had the pleasure of running the first revenue trip on PTM Open Car 1758
last Friday.  It is a joy to operate and the crowds loved it!  It really
turned heads as we passed the Washington County Fairgrounds.
