Letter to Editor

Transit Test Urged On Ardmore Blvd.

In the last few weeks two items of significance have taken place.

First, the removal of all trolley tracks and their related structures, such as lines and ties, from Ardmore Boulevard,

The second item was an announcement by Westinghouse Electric to invest additional money for the experimental development of its South Park rapid transit.

1—An instant on-the-spot check each and every time it passes their research center.

2—On a run between Wilkinsburg and East Pittsburgh, they would be testing it under actual conditions and the fare charged might help to defray some of the costs involved.

                                                               JERRY McCUNE
