I can't vote out the jackass CEO of a company. I can vote out (or at
least vote against) politicians. "Competitive" bidding means the
crappiest contract always wins.

I don't care who gets the jobs, as long as the job is done.
I'd rather have the dollars go to someone who needs them than pay
extra to a millionaire who doesn't give a rat's a** whether he earns
them.
