Agreed, Mr.Schneider. Is it Johnny Miller who sang:
"England swings like a pendulum do...?"
That pendulum has swung about as far left as is
possible right now. It seems it should be swinging
the other way again: more individual responsibility.
But as pendulums of society 'do' it shall probably
go too far right. As long as the pendulum swings we
never obtain balance do we.
As I mentioned in a previous email if Mr.Pres or Mr.Gov
say: "You must accept cuts in services and tax increases"
and they make state and local employees subject to wage
freezes and/or cuts but not do so by example themselves
they should be out of office immediately. Then look at CA,
about the worst as far as unemployment and budget crisis:

"AP Enterprise: Calif. lawmakers keep vehicle perk"

http://tinyurl.com/22osnme

There is probably many other perks not yet exposed.
This business of 'do as I say but not as I do' needs
to cease with govt. doesn't it. Even though it makes
the news it is doubtful much shall happen for
considerable time if ever.

Without a 'coast' but not a 'cause.'

I have no problem with a certain degree of socialism.
I believe our real world needs to fall somewhere
between the rich taking as much as they can and
giving their workers as little as possible and a world
in which certain things such as child care,
medical care, reasonable vacations and reasonable
minimum wages are available to all who are willing
to but in a full day (year) of work.

I do draw the line at kids like my own who proclaim
"I didn't ask to be born and therefore you owe me a living."
