[PRCo] Oak Tree Moved (not gone)

For those who have been amused by the saga of the oak in the middle of the
road...about 8:40 this morning a contractor appeared with three vehicles - a
bucket truck, a chipper in back of a dump, a hi-lift/backhoe and eight men.
The township brought four salt trucks, three of them with plows, and a huge
fork lift. As they began to saw and chip up the limbs, the neighbor across
the street (from whose yard the tree fell, and the nice guy who cleared my
driveway) appeared and advised that he wanted the tree for firewood. So the
crews pushed the trunk onto his lawn, piled up the cut logs around it, and
were gone in less than hour.

I wonder how many tax dollars went into this example of overkill?

The photo is what it looked like from Friday night until this morning.
