You can learn to run a steam locomotive at Nevada Northern for $695.00.
That gives you from 1.5 to 2 hours instruction and operating times. You get
in the cab after you have passed the written test, so they do not specify
how much throttle time you get. The diesel program is $495.00 and that is
also two hours, including instruction and a written test.
I will teach you to operate your favorite passenger trolley at PTM.
$70 for membership/Operator for an Hour
$90 with family membership/Operator for an Hour
$40 to upgrade associate membership/Operator for an Hour
$30 to run the car for current regular members
$30 for an additional session
You will get verbal instruction and the opportunity to run our entire line,
maybe more depending upon whether you request a single end or double end
car. One hour time commitment. The dates are located on this webpage.
