I'm actually getting real-time updates via the internet; The twitter
short messaging service has
rather than being merely social proven its use as the Port Authority
has been providing near-real-time
service status updates as routes are established and need to be abandoned.

East Carson St is passable and a 53 Carrick (sorry, 51C) is sitting
outside now, heading down to make the trip up the hill. More
surprisingly, a cyclist just passed me. I've been walking.
