Been there.    Done that.    Don't need to do it again.     You  
haven't lived until you've fired an engine running backward pushing a  
snow plow.   Let me explain.   It takes more steam going down hill  
pushing snow than it does coming up hill pulling a 10 car passenger  
train.   And the snow that comes off the plow blade circles around  
and lands on you in the engine cab and melts on you as you are  
bailing coal into a hot firebox.   You end up soaked through to the  
skin ... worse the firing a camelback backward into a summer rain.    
It took me two or three weeks to get rid of a cold I got firing the  
plow engine on the Strasburg 40-some years ago.   Screw that kind of  
fun.    (Might have been more clement if Huber Leath had not dictated  
that all engines should have cab curtains removed.)     :<)
