I managed to survive not getting H1N1 when IUP was nearly shut down last
fall.
Call it luck.
My Uncle Fred died from the flu in 1926 at the age of 1.5. Most of us
probably have a direct relative that succumbed to the disease. Getting this
back on topic, the Cramer's lived in West Penn territory during the first 3
decades of the 20th century. Between 1900 and 1915 their children were born
in Calumet, Uniontown, Hecla, Humbert, Isabella and Boswell. Poor coal
miners moved a lot in those days. They eventually migrated to Lincoln Hill
and then finally to Washington during WWII.
