By dumb luck is is 1 mile off the half way point between Grand Island, Nebraska and Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I drove 665 miles on Saturday and 667 on Sunday and I did not plan it that way. Just happened. But that was better than the year I did it all in one day. But I was younger then.
Before you ask what's in Grand Island, Nebraska. Just an old friend from high school.
But I do have this thing about the west and the open spaces. I do breath better without all the allergies that go with the pollen and grass and flowers. I love the flowers. I have a front yard full of them. I planted them. But I breath better in places like Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, west Texas, western Montana, Utah. Try these as examples.
I took the picture of the multi-colored rocks in Death Valley in the Spring of 2009. One doesn't normally go there in the summer because the temperature soars to around 120 degrees. But it is an absolutely fantastic place to visit in the winter or spring.
