This information came from a Google Books Search...
Electric Railway Weekly August 7, 1909.
PITTSBURG PA The Pittsburg Monongahela & Washington Railways Company has
begun the survey of the proposed extension which is to run between
Monongahela and Washington Pa JA Morrow is in charge of the work
WASHINGTON PA The Monongahela & Waynesburg Street Railway has authorized
certain extensions on its lines including extensions in Waynesburg Millsboro
Centerville West Brownsville Beallsville Bentleyville and Ellsworth Work
will be started in the near future
And another plan from Engineering and Contracting in 1907...
Monongahela Pa Council has granted franchise to Monongahela & Carroll Street
Ry Co which proposes to build a street car line up Pigeon Creek and on to
Bentleyville Ellsworth and Washington
And a Nov 21, 1908 Electric Traction Weekly Report
MONONGAHELA PA Work will commence immediately on the line of the Monongahela
& Carroll Street Railway between Monongahela and Washington Pa George M
Hosack president of the company states that it is the intention to proceed
immediately with the work between Monongahela and Ellsworth a distance of 14
miles The line will give connection with Brownsville Donora and other towns
above Monongahela
I could not find any sign of a separate right-of-way between Monongahela and
Bentleyville on the digital elevation model I am working with. Attached is
an image of the area with the rights-of-way I am aware of traced.
FYI: I am planning to be at the Washington Trolley Museum on Tuesday
November 9th and I will be bringing a laptop with the work I have done so
far of the Western PA area.

The Media Curator of the Archives Service Center, School of Information
Science, University of Pittsburgh was kind enough to send me a link to their
electronic copy of Lewis' Guide (1923) after I suggested a correction to one
of their captions.

>From this I extracted the Electric Railways map (which I know you have
already, I think I have seen it on this list) and from which I have
extracted
the area of Monongahela / Bentleyville. I'm assuming this was an electric
line
which was closed before 1952 as it isn't mentioned in the ERA publication on
the Pittsburgh Interurban routes, but unlike the Harmony Line I can't find
any
online information about this route. Does anyone have a history of this line
and / or a reference to its operation?
This site
http://monongahela.wordpress.com/2009/11/01/easy-bicycle-route-from-
monongahela-to-bentleyville-pa/ has details of a bike ride along the valley,
but doesn't mention a trolley route.
Thanks
