My initial reaction to the first one before I even saw your question was Diamond Market.
On the second one. I think you are dealing with a scratch on the negative or plate over the truck windshield. I am also wondering if, like a water injector on a steam locomotive, those fire trucks didn't have a drain pipe or hose, and that is what you might be looking at ... a water drain from the pump that is used in starting the pump. Just a hunch.
Things you don't see any longer in photo 3? The pedestrian don't walk signal incorporated into the traffic light ... remember when Pittsburgh traffic lights went from green to green and amber (which you see here to warn pedestrians not to walk), to amber, then to red? The B&O station is gone. The Parkway was been built (1958). There are additional highway lanes on the Smithfield St Bridge. Long skirts on women are gone.
Photo 4 - His face is appears forward / the position of a PCC seat is actually a few degrees to the right of actual forward / we do not know where his wyes are. I suspect the car is not moving because a taxi is parked or standing within the clearance line for the streetcar. If the streetcar is moving, the cab driver is going to have a rude awakening. (Is that the answer you wanted Herb?)
