Fred, Herb

The following is not a commercial. I'm just offering information, without opinion or recommendation.

The latest in Wayne Cole's series of books on western Pa. tramways and railways has just been advertised for sale. It is called Ghost Rails 7--The Short Line and as the name implies covers the Butler Short Line. It's available from the author at ColeBooks, 1402 Seminole Circle, Beaver Falls, Pa., 15010. HB, 208 pgs, 16 in color. $53 ppd.

I've not seen it yet, but Wayne's books usually have a lot of old photos plus facts or suppositions that he has dug up from a variety of sources.

If you take a "Google Earth" look at the streets (and from all sides) where
the line looped you will see that all the old buildings have been replaced
by newer, much taller structures over the years. Chances are slim to none
that the sign is still on a building, and, slim probably left town.
