Butler Bus Fare Increase Sought

 Harrisburg, August 31 ---  The Butler Motor Transit Co. wants to raise fares to pick up an extra $10,200 a year.

   A new schedule filed with the Public Utility Commission would eliminate a 12 ½ cent token, create a five cent transfer chage and increase fares five cents between the Venterans’ Hospital and Meridian.   If approved, the changes would take effect Sept. 29.

    The line said it needs the extra revenue to meet higher operating costs and to offset last year’s losses of $11,900.
