Mr. Lybarger ... since West Penn is your love, you can do this if you wish.   It is fascinating reading ... the water company smashed fire hydrants in Everson because the borough is too broke to pay its bills.   Mt. Pleasant and Scottdale are in hock to the same water company.   Ninety percent of the families in Everson are on relief in 1935.   

I guess my dad found the right place working for Gulf Oil in 1933 so he could marry in 1935.   Those who were working wanted cars.   It was the future.   Then when the World War II broke out, he happened to be with a company that was making switch boxes for ships.   Kept him home.   And a lot of it was simply just raw luck.
