Mr.Schneider;
Do you have facts not in evidence here? Editorializing
after the fact is a bit much isn't it. Not only this email but
ones before and about a split switch. People injured is
nothing to make light of. A split switch would cause a
'possible' severe lurch; not only elderly but young could
fall and strike their head with serious injury couldn't they.
Split switch the fault of single point? This has been mentioned
before and evidence is lacking here as well. Only one point
is actually used whether single or double point. Multiples of
emails in the archives have shown European tram derailments
some from split switches. They abound on you tube as well
don't they. Double point switches splitting.
Do you know that a car was following too closely when the
switch split. It would need to be within tow bar distance of
the car ahead; very dangerous following that closely when
moving. Most split switch derailments I know of did not
have a follower to interfere.
Your caps are also evidence of your lifestyle which goes
before you long before the internet doesn't it -
screaming and hollering
Phil

Subject: [PRCo] ACCIDENT HUNTING A PLACE TO HAPPEN, FINDS TROLLEY.
THIS REMINDS ME OF THAT CROSLEY THAT RINGLING BROTHERS CIRCUS USED TO HAVE FROM
WHICH ALL THOSE CLOWNS USED TO EMERGE. I WANTED TO TITLE THIS ONE "ANOTHER
DRIVER WHO COULND'T SEE THE BIG RED STREETCAR" BUT THEN I BEGAN TO WONDER, WITH
EIGHT PEOPLE PACKED INTO A CHEVY SEDAN (WITH THE SHIFT LEVER THE FLOOR), WAS IT
EVEN POSSIBLE TO DRIVE IT AND STEER IT? IF SEVEN OF THEM ARE TEENAGERS, COULD
YOU EVEN HEAR THE STREETCAR? ON A WINTER DAY, WOULD THE DEFROSTER KEEP THE
WINDSHIELD FREE OF STEAM? WHERE WERE THE PARENTS? WAS TRUNZO COURTING ONE OF
THE UNDERAGE LADIES?
