Megabus has been doing nice business between Chicago and Milwaukee using the double deck buses. Fare is a fraction of what Amtrak charges between the two cities.

Subject: [PRCo] Megabus Service - New Route to Akron
The interurban bus provider, Megabus, will begin service between Akron and
Pittsburgh on May 11. There will be six (6) trips from Akron to Pittsburgh
and six (6) trips between Pittsburgh and Akron throughout each day. That's
better service than some PATransit routes. Megabus is able to keep fares
very low since they do not have terminals like Greyhound. In Akron Megabus
will, however, use the Akron Metro Downtown Bus Station. There will be NO
customer service or parking at the station. Tickets must be purchased
online. In Pittsburgh the Megabus stop is at 10th and Penn. Again, no free
parking and no ticket sales. Tickets must be purchased online at both ends.
Right now online tickets are $1.00 per seat between Akron and Pittsburgh or
Pittsburgh and Akron. Megabus also, for the most part, uses true double deck
buses with two actual floors of seating.
Now, anyone in Pittsburgh can make a quick trip to Akron to ride the
Cuyahoga Valley Railroad. With a $2.00 round trip bus fare and a free
railroad ticket it can't be beat.
