Waterfront is very busy, not that fancy. South Side Works is fancier
but less full because the mix of stores they picked
hasn't necessarily weathered the current economic climate that well.

South Side Works is 2 blocks from my house. It is nice having it
there, but the Target and Home Depot in East Liberty (the latter on
the site of Sears; the former across the ex-PRR from East Liberty
station) would frankly be more useful to have nearby.

There's a bus line which runs from South Side Works to the former
Nabisco now, the 75, another "not through downtown" route, which is
quite useful. Effectively the 50's loop, the 77/54's river crossing
and the 75's route as far as East Liberty. And people use it.
