Fred

There are at least two too many tram museums in New England, so merger makes a lot of sense. Will it ever happen? Not likely, people being what they are.

The inland location makes a lot of sense. Both Branford and Seashore could profit by being removed from salt air and threat of flooding. As to Warehouse Point being further away, anything over a mile more is further away. Is it in real terms--not at all. Only 46 miles and 35 minutes, according to Mr. Maps Google. Nothing at all. I drive a couple miles further than that to work every day. You drive what--7 or 8 times that additional distance to get to Arden.

Additional miles are not the problem. Meshing peoples' egos is.

The sad thing is ... considering global warming ... will 13 feet be the solution?

The real solution is farther inland ... maybe merging with Warehouse Point. However, a lot of their people today are from New York and would not want to go that far.
