The overhead is already clearly seen Mr.Rockwell;
this one shows the extent on the south end doesn't it:

It appears the 'next siding' north of the Car House is immediately
behind 1724 doesn't it.  The gantlet ends there.

The gantlet allowed for shop moves without interfering with the revenue
wire.  Track turnouts and street operation prevent high-speed operation.
The gantlet isn't really needed but it is there and it works.
