For those with nothing to do this evening and who wish to find something more interesting to occupy your time than unreality television, might I suggest the old Pittsburgh Press on line.

Here are two editions from November 14 and 16, 1927 that document the gas explosion in Reedsdale.    There was one Pittsburgh Railways low-floor car that happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.  It was never rebuilt.   

Why is this important to yins?   Equitable Gas was part of the same family as Pittsburgh Railways.

You may also wish to go into the following week where the city tells the gas company you are a bad neighbor and the gas company starts to look for a place outside town to blow up next time.
