That was the last low floor fantrip. 5432 was being converted to the paint
car and the PERC gang took it out before it went to the shop. The actual
date was September 9; Bill's off by a day here. No low floor cars were in
passenger service after the extended strike in 1954.

I found this Bill Volkmer photo of PRCo 5432 on Forbes Avenue, Sept 8, 1956
with the 54-Fifth & Craig St Only sign. This is obviously a revenue trip; so
the 54 did operate as a separate line.
