West Liberty is currently being repaved inbound from below Pioneer
(upper end) to the ramp to (what's now the busway). The crown of most
of it is intact, while the edges are scraped. Why? A lot of intact
rail. There's a good bit of cobblestone and/or brick railside showing,
and occasionally a few feet of rail. From Cape May to about the busway
ramp, the center of the road has been removed to the subbase, and
there are no rails. I don't know if they are going to keep pulling
rails up the hill.
I was biking inbound from Mt Lebanon, and did not stop the bike to
take pictures. Likewise, while biking up Warrington I considered a
shot of just how bad the pavement along the trackage there is, but
decided to just push on home.
