Layout is wrong for this to be Mann's Narrows. The streetcar line was up on
the hill after crossing the bridge on the way to Reedsville. Under that
bridge was both the stream and the PRR Milroy Branch. The car line was on
the street until it got to the bridge. We have a slug of postcards on this
line, and I'm personally familiar with the area.

This evening I visited a friend, who had a copy of "Lewistown and the
Pennsylvania Railroad" sitting out. Leafed through it and came up with a new
theory on where that photo was taken. According to that book there was a
street car line from Lewistown to Reedsville, a line which lasted into the
1920's or 30's. There was a railroad, the Milroy branch of the PRR which ran
from Lewistown to (fanfare) Milroy, and of course a road from Reedsville to
Lewistown. These all followed Kishacoquillas Creek.
See the map snippet I've attached, which is tucked away somewhere in the
bowels of Derrick's machine now that Ecartis has gotten his grubby hands on
it. Look at the area named Mann Narrows, between Yaegertown and Reedsville.
It has:

1) a road (which later became US 322)
2) street car line (note the little black lines across the red road)
3) a railroad

Further, I saw two photos taken in the vicinity of the bridge where the road
and car line cross the creek which show a hillside covered with jumbled
loose rock from which spring scrawny trees. On the map snippet, note the
lack of green tint on the south side of Mann Narrows, indicating a lack of
trees in that area.

I suggest, therefore, that the photo in question was taken on an expedition
east of McKeesport, in the Mann Narrows on the way from Reedsville to
Yaegertown.
