Actually not all were scrapped in 1956. One was saved—5432—and converted into the paint car to replace a DE car formerly in that assignment. I don’t know when the (ex-5432) was scrapped, but not 1956.

There are many PRCo assignment sheets in the archives. I gave Ed all that I had some time ago.

I do have roster info here, including the scrap dates for virtually every car. After the 1954 strike there were a handful of lowfloors kept for two more years. The last were scrapped in 8/56. As for the two cars specifically asked about, 4366 went to storage 5/27/53 and was scrapped at Ingram 7/23/53. 4393 went to storage 12/6/53 and was scrapped at Ingram 5/18/56. Of the various 4350 series cars the only ones that lasted until 1956 were 4373, 4388, and 4393-4399. Of course all of those were “high speed” cars, so converted in 1941 according to PRCo ledgers. All the rest were gone by late 1953.
