I know exactly the location. Wow. Thanks for sharing this, Bob. I've said it before, but the folks (many of you!) who snapped photos of streetcars and, er - buses, back then, were not only capturing the vehicle, but also the locale. A lot of my friends who are lethargic when it comes to streetcars, otherwise enjoy seeing what things looked like decades back.
Yes - "pipple" taking the streetcar or in this case, the Brentwood bus, to town - was thee way to travel.
I still recall my grandfather saying in the early 60s, that soon automobiles would be like ants -everywhere!

My gosh. There were pipple on that bus. That was before we convinced everyone that they needed their own car and also before we moved all the shopping venues to the suburbs.
