Obviously never finished, but I was interested nonetheless to read this.
The later and the greater Connellsville is
in communication with all the leading com-
mercial centers of North America, through
important branches of the principal railway
systems of the country, the Pennsylvania,
Vanderbilt and Baltimore and Ohio. One
railway connects it with West Virginia, an-
other with Washington city, and three lines
with Pittsburg. An electric railway pierces
the Leisenring coke district, a suburban line
extends to South Connellsville and Mt. Pleas-
ant. The Scottdale and Connellsville electric
street railway will soon be completed and
will eventually connect at West Newton with
the extension of the Second Avenue electric
railway of Pittsburg.
An overhead iron bridge is now in process
of construction from Connellsville across the
river to New Haven. Work on this bridge
was delayed on account of injunction pro-
ceedings sustained in the lower courts, but
set aside by action of the Supreme Court of
Pennsylvania.
