I notice that pic. That's the short spur running just beyond the Arlington
Loop. I was thinking maybe a fan trip had to be put out of the way of
regular service. Or, maybe like we used to do at Library Loop. If I had a
car which I really liked, and had layover time, I would set the switch and
pull onto the old Charleroi Main then replug the switch for the loop and
let the cars returning to the CH go past me. When my time to leave came I
unplugged the switch, pulled back on the loop, replugged the switch and
left on time. Maybe that's what was happening here. Other than that it's
hard to say what they were doing.
