Yes, and they bought it from Nick Kovalchick. My understanding at the time was that he sold it to the state at his cost, provided that they agreed to establish a park around it.

Half the towers. Interestingly, the ones which had been repaired didn't fall. Then again, the tornado wasn't infinitely wide.
