Interesting because the route cards maintained by the company make no mention whatsoever of MU trains on route 82.   However, this is the second picture I have seen illustrating the non-existant trains and Chick Siebert said he remembered them.  I can only assume that the trailers on that line were replaced by MU cars without proper annotation of the records.  

The 4800 series were assigned beginning October 11, 1922.   On May 11, 1930, full one-man car operation began.   There was no notation of the 5000s.    The 4800s were MU only in the sense that they were designed to pull two-motor, C-series, trailers but two 4800-4939 class cars could not be trained together.
