Look at some of the fine details ….
The headlight on the streetcar is a battery powered Electric Services Supply Company light that was put on the car after the PCC cars came to Pittsburgh … it is a PCC headlight.
Look at the bridge railing. Was PennDOT using that before the 1940s or 1950s?
And asphalt paving right up to the rails. Would we not expect Belgian blocks if this were an old picture?
The car in the far distance looks much more streamlined.
My money is on a fantrip … probably with 4398 … could that be the old Glenwood Bridge?
I have used Bing Maps and scanned all the bridges in the valley. None come close to this design and hillside slope other than Glenwood.
