Part of front street is still there and one can see the rotting ties causing pavement problems.
Fred Schneider spent a lot of time capsulizing the route cards of Pittsburgh Railways.
78 OAKMONT / VERONAOct.
 19, 1935:  Service from Oakmont to Hulton
discontinued due to construction work.
Bus shuttle implemented.



Aug.
 16, 1937:  Due to construction work on new
Oakmont – Verona Viaduct, cars turn short at Wilwood Avenue near Front Street, Verona.



Mar.
 28, 1938:  Line shortened to essentially
what it was in 1902, a shuttle running from Laketon Road via Montier Street to Swissvale Avenue, and looping via
Franklin, Wood, Penn and Swissvale Sts.
Through service to Oakmont was replaced by the 203 bus line.   However, a lack of a crossover at Laketon
road forced cars to run to Dream City Hill along Robinson Blvd. to turn back
until April 2, 1938 when a cross over was installed at Laketon Road.   The shortened route destination was 78 LAKETON ROAD.
