It is most disturbing the paper prints the address of the motorman
isn't it Mr.Barry.

Most likely there were many similar incidents over the years. I recall
one in the latter 1950s or early 1960s where a tree was placed over the
track at the north end of the McKinley trestle. A northbound motorman
stopped and opened the doors intending to remove the tree. A voice
from the bushes demanded all throw out their wallets. The motorman
sped off and dealt with the remains of the tree later. The pilot apparently
did its job didn't it.
