[PRCo] West Penn, Pittsburgh Railways, Penn-Ohio Maps

Herb, I have the basics of the map in a GIS compatible format already. For a
location such as Pittsburgh, adding digital elevation modeling helps to
understand the line locations (as well as pick them out if still visible).
See attached, or visit my website. Getting it geographically accurate for
multiple time frames, single/double track/siding locations and location in
street (center, left, right - off street) is a daunting task - especially
for someone not from the area. I can see the data eventually being an
interactive online map rather than a printed map. With a GPS equipped smart
phone, I have already taken interactive maps similar to this "in the field"
to confirm location information.

If there is anyone that wants to help, I would welcome it as I am working on
a much broader project than just Pittsburgh. Perhaps it would be interesting
to have a "mapping party" at PTM one day, where the map data can be
corrected with input from multiple experts and we can try to find primary
sources for anything we are not sure of.

PDF's are no problem. I am fully familiar with the Adobe readers.

I used the link Derrick provided me to download the DjVu. I'm still hoping
someone will produce a "well detailed" PRCo track map.

I have attached what my definition of a "well detailed" track map is. This,
and other, TTC track and route maps are drawn by one of the members of the
Transit Toronto discussion group.
