Of course we always like those things that mirror the way we are thinking. Who wouldn't. Thanks for sending. Great reading.

But you added one more, Phillip, the youthful interest in other forms of technology such as cell phones, texting, smart phones. It beats the shit out of me who people can be sitting in a restaurant next to each other and texting each other instead of talking but it is what the kids do today. It also boggles my mind to see kids get up from a college class and watch 60% of them immediately go to their cell phones but I have watched it happen. And gentlemen, if that is what they are going to do, I would be delighted if they stay off the highways.

But I still want to go to Houston, St. Paul and Dallas for their upcoming light rail openings.

Reuters reports a startling statistic: more than one-quarter of 16 to 34 year olds, who are known as Generation Y or the Millenials, do not even have a driver’s license."

The general consensus seems to be that Gen Y (roughly, those age 18-34) is more interested in gadgets than gears. In fact, young people told GM that driving is frustrating because it cuts into time that could be spent texting."

I can tell you That in my world both my son and daughter could think of nothing but the day they could obtain their Learners permit to drive. Ditto for buying their own cars. This was true of all their friends also.
