[PRCo] CERA 75th Anniversary Convention

Yes, Dwight, good news in Kenosha this week.  The downtown area has changed dramatically since the trolley line opened in 2000.  More needs to be done, but the residential and restaurant scene is growing, and the trolley line extension to Uptown and the Lake Michigan beach park will help even more. 
Tomorrow (Sunday) it's off to day-3 of th CERA convention and the Fox River Trolley Museum.

That plan just got a big push forward when the Transit Commission on the 18th approved plans for the north-south extension, including starting design and engineering work.

Just returned from day-1 of the 3-day CERA 75th Anniversary Convention which started today in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  The Kenosha Electric Streetcar system ran all six of it's operating PCC's (five from Toronto and one from Philadelphia).  Two additional PCC's (one from TTC and one from SEPTA) are in the shop being prepared for service.     
   
The Kenosha Convention & Visitors Bureau said that plans are moving forward to extend the trolley line more than a mile along the shore of Lake Michigan to a popular park and beach.
