This IS Very true.  Mine has gotten 55-mpg // tank on several different 
occasions!  WithOut Overhead!

Thanks for the other information about pat.  The landslide is 
interesting.  It has 'probably' happened before but this is the first I 
know about.  It seems that one track was moved significantly, narrowing 
the devil strip!
