You are correct … Allegheny River Boulevard And no, I didn't put that mistake in deliberately to see who read it. It just goes back to the old adage that no one can proofread his or her own writing until it has lain fallow for a few months and then you look at it and think, OMG, how did I screw that up? Thanks Daria.
The funny thing, D., is how we remember routes from our youth even if we fail to remember all the street names. Back in the 1980s I was driving my boss over to the state employment office in Carnegie for a program audit. That was when they were redoing the Parkway East and it had all those cattle chutes. By thought was, OMG, if there is an accident on the parkway, I could be sitting here all day. So I got off at Ardmore Blvd. and drove through Wilkesburg and in Forbes. Funny how all the shortcuts my father used in the 1940s came back to me.
