[PRCo] Castle Shannon slum???

Ed,
Willow Avenue is across (on the west side) of the trolley tracks and
station. I was looking at one of the USGS maps which labeled Grove Road
(portion at the trolley grade crossing) as Willow Ave. I should have looked
at Google Maps to begin with. Willow continues north on the west side of
the trolley right of way until the 90-degree curve where it becomes Sleepy
Hollow and goes west toward Mt. Lebanon/Dormont. Grove Road comes down the
hill from Baldwin/Whitehall, then crosses Library Rd and the trolley tracks
and ends at Willow. Linden Grove is still standing, albeit the old octagon
shaped building has had a lot of "additions" added to it.

So, the question still is, where were the "company houses" ? They had to be
somewhere around Killarney Drive or just south of there. Once you pass the
Busy Beaver entrance between Killarney and McNeilly you're back in the city
of Pittsburgh. Also, the portion of Library Road from McNeilly south to
just past Grove Road was realigned at some time since the late 1980s, so
now it's harder to tell where old things used to stand in that area.
