Jim,
Interesting is that by April 18, 1976 the service was much better under
PATransit. Attached is the April 18, 1976 PATransit Route 35 timetable.
Lots of additional service including express cars running non-stop on
sections of the route (they were, of course, limited in speed by the signal
system and single track in Overbrook) and Shoppers Trips running inbound on
Smithfield/Liberty/Wood. Still a 30-minute "base" headway, however, the
base period is not as long as in 1953. School and rush hour service starts
earlier and runs later and more frequently.
